Caroline Handley is a dedicated spokesperson for Ledbury Refugee Support, a grassroots group raising funds, supplies, and awareness for refugees across the Mediterranean and Eastern Europe. She has played a key role in organising aid deliveries to Syria and beyond.
Ledbury Refugee Support started in 2015 with the famous photo of a young boy being pulled out of the Mediterranean Sea and everyone’s reaction finally to what was happening in Syria. They are a small group who fundraise and collect donations for wherever needed, piggybacking with the larger charities when possible keeping expenses to a minimum.
Caroline’s business, Handley Organics, also serves as a drop-off point for donations in the heart of Ledbury. For nearly 40 years, Caroline has worked tirelessly to support marginalised communities and champion organic growing.
