Back to the Wild CIC
Based at Hellens within its 57 acres of Hallwood, Back to the Wild is a unique project existing to support personal and social development by helping young people to reconnect with themselves, others and the natural environment. The project works with educational and youth services to engage young people in inspirational projects, aiming to develop full consciousness of the world they live in, and greater competence to live more sustainably and cooperatively.
B2W Project exists to:
Aid personal development for young people.
Facilitate better understanding of nature and our part in it.
Enhance positive mental and physical health through outdoor experiences
Share and learn new (fundamental) life-skills
Promote equality, cooperation, humility and harmony
Celebrate traditional rural skills and knowledge
Improve humanity’s relationship to the planet
Promote sustainable living
The Garden Festival has donated 25% of its profits to the B2W Project since 2015. This pays for planning and delivery of projects and has enabled us to reach more young people than before. In October 2018 Back to the Wild attained CIC status.
Our most recent Back to the Wild beneficiaries:
Hope Support Services, St Michael’s Hospice Saturday Club, Strong Young Minds ( https://www.thesymproject.org/), Foster Carers Association, Tribe youth group, Worcestershire Early Intervention Family Support, (both young people and a ‘dads and lads’ project. )
Please get in touch to find out more about what we offer or if you know a group who would benefit from a Back to the Wild project.
