Sponsors and Supporters
Hellens Garden Festival CIC exists to celebrate nature, develop awareness of environmental issues and catalyse change for a more sustainable world, through education, community work and the annual festival.
We are grateful to our generous sponsors, partners and supporters for helping us to make this happen!
Special thanks to Joe Nobile and Natalie Jolley for your brilliant photographs, capturing the spirit of the 2023 Festival.
Herefordshire Food Alliance
This year we are working with Herefordshire Food Alliance and are excited about this new relationship that we hope to continue in to the future.
Herefordshire Food Alliance is a network of groups, organisations and individuals working towards a thriving and sustainable local food economy which contributes to a healthy lifestyle, healthy communities and a healthy environment. HFA works with members under a number of themes, four of which they are working on this summer at Hellens Garden Festival.
Building a local food movement
Developing demand and transforming local supply of sustainable food
Sustainable food enterprises
Farming for the planet
In the run up to festival, HFA have been working with the festival food vendors on a “Swap one Thing” project, facilitating connections to local, river friendly food producers who can provide an alternative to a supermarket/national wholesaler bought ingredient for example. Creating links with new suppliers takes a lot of time and research, so this is where HFA come in, building on the work they have done on their food map… https:// herefordshirefoodcharter.org. uk/blog/local-food-and-drink- producers-herefordshire? highlight=WyJtYXAiXQ==
to connect food vendors to producers.
Look out for HFA at the festival where they will be chairing the Future of Farming & No Waste Less Haste talks. HFA will also chatting about what makes “River Friendly Food” and signposting to all the amazing things the Hellens Food vendors are doing to grow, source and cook great food that is kind to nature, for you to enjoy.
