An Eco, Green and Growing space, created in memory of Hannah Genders, a great friend to Hellens and HGF.

Hannah was an inspiration and achieved much in her work life as a gardener and garden designer. RHS medals of every hue for show gardens at Chelsea and Malvern, stints as a TV presenter, appearances on national radio and speaking at shows and festivals to share her passion for gardens and to champion others involved in her vision for sustainable horticulture.

Hannah carried a great sadness about the damage we have done to our planet. For her gardening was an expression of hope for improving our world. This led her increasingly to champion sustainable gardening practices and to head up a section at The Malvern Spring Show called the EGG, ‘Eco Green & Growing.’ She curated this gathering of like-minded groups and individuals to promote sustainable gardening and living, to share discussion and debate about growing food and using gardens to heal, restore and build hope for a better future.

The EGG at Hellens Garden Festival will continue this tradition.
