Ukrainian women living in Herefordshire
During our women’s workshop, Hellens volunteers and women from the Ukrainian community came together to share, connect, and learn from one another. A day spent in nature, creating, laughing, and singing, brought calm, joy, and moments of healing for everyone involved.
By actively involving refugee communities, these workshops offered opportunities for reflection and transformation in the peaceful setting of the countryside. Local volunteers, many aged 50-70 and keen to welcome greater diversity, joined refugee women in meaningful, creative exchange, nurturing mutual understanding and connection.
Journey Stick, created by the women involved in the workshop.
