Steph Boocock

Steph grew up in rural Herefordshire following her grandmother Jean’s love of music and painting. She explored further creative media whilst studying at Herefordshire College of Art and continued to explore and create works alongside her professional career as a consultant ecologist. More recently Steph has discovered a passion for metal working techniques, and is developing a portfolio of steel sculpture, drawing upon her love of the natural world.

“I use agricultural implements and machinery parts, and repurpose them to create a representation of how we can shift from unsustainable and intensive management of our agricultural land, towards a system that harnesses nature based solutions to enhance biodiversity and provide ecosystem services, drawing on the emerging principles of regenerative farming and a move towards more restorative practices.”
