I am a textile artist involved with community craft projects; taking activities to diverse audiences and outreach community centres. Promoting health and well being are core to these workshops and courses. Engaging with the community is something that I love to do alongside my own practice. My work lies with textiles and fine art. I work in pattern and surface, exploring how space and light interact with the material and create patterns that respond to this. New work explores what is possible with rediscovered, new and emerging materials in my practice. Working with the fluidity of pattern and flow found in the natural environment I am keen to develop outdoor, environmental works in cloth or other suitable material. The panels and sculptural pieces express movement as well as structure and space.
